It seems so far from what Im seeing, that its generating a good buzz. It certainly looks darker than all the rest of the Batman movies and I certainly hope its less campy than some of the previous ones. I havent gotten deep into it, but 1st impressions are it might be pretty cool. If people go see it, I would like to see you post your feelings about the movie here!

Just got in from the movie. It was really good. It's not campy at all. I would recommend this to everyone. If you liked Batman Begins this is a really good follow up. Plenty of sick humor from The Joker.
The only thing I didn't really like was the bat-cycle or whatever it's called.

I'm going to see it on Tuesday . I'll probably see it today. cfs I saw it. I'll have to say it's the best DC comics superhero movie I've ever seen. After saying that, I still only give it a 7. Namely it bored me. The joker was very well done. Towards the end when his motives become more clear, it reminds me of Shattered. The whole Two-Face portion could have been left off and I'd have given it an 8. The whole double tryst with the girl just bored me. I saw nothing so hot as to warrant the obsession over her. Stale donuts would intrsest me more. My biggest complaint was the length. It just kept going after I'd had enough. I thought Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 3 had upstaged Batman in this. There is far more drama than heroics. Overall not bad. cfs

I just saw both The Dark Knight and Iron Man and while I'm NOT a big fan of either the various Batman or Iron Man comics, I would say that The Dark Knight was the better movie, in terms of characterization, emotions, and themes. I actually cared for the characters in The Dark Knight and only cheered for them in Iron Man and the script for Iron Man seemed to have a lot more of plot holes in it. It terms of action however Iron Man was much better than The Dark Knight due to Nolan's going to the Micheal Bay school of action, with too much jumping around, camera moving so fast that you can't see shit, and making me dizzy especially durning the final battle between Batman and the Joker (that "Bat-Vision" concept just didn't work for me). While Iron Man had it too it seemed that the director of it (and whose name escapes me) seemed to have at least a basic understanding of action and knew how to make it both visually interesting and easy to understand what was going on. That's just my opinion.
