I'm sure you've heard about it or seen it talked about on tv by now.
I'm beginning to think this guy has a real problem. 1st his mother and sister filed an assault charge on him right when Dark Knight was being released and now he totally unleashes on a crewman on the set of Terminator 4: Salvation. You can tell he takes himself ultra serious and is used to everyone kissing his ass. I'm reading in his defense people saying there is a set etiquette that needs to be respected. That's understandable. But this is just overboard.
Unrelated, I thought the Dark Knight movie was one of the best comic movies Ive ever seen, but I felt Batman was just so-so in the movie and the movie could have just as easily been called The Joker. I think he really stole the show. Batman just did enough to carry the story along. When he was up, he did what I expected and not much more. But overall, I really dug the movie. I just don't think Batman was as awesome as the Joker.
Maybe Heath Ledger getting all the praise is getting to this guy and he is demanding respect or something. All I know is he deserves for someone to kick his ass when he rips someone apart like this.
Dude needs to chill.

Dude is an awesome actor though. I haven't seen a movie yet that sucked with him in it. And I have seen a lot of them.

Maybe so, but it still doesn't mean you get a free ride at being a dick and get excused for it because you're a great actor. That stage guy should have decked his ass.

I applaud Christian Bales. It sounds like he has a right to be upset. Who wants to do a job two or three times? Also, the director said he wanted to keep Christian tense to get the best acting out of him. This may actually be a decent movie. MOE |

I know I get pissed off at work when I have to show people how to do things over and over again. I'm sure it's the same thing here for him in a sense. I hate when time is wasted like that.

Did anyone ever see that show Operation:Greenlight ? I know they tried to pump up the drama for the show, but think about the costs involved with shooting a movie. Sets cost money. Extras cost money. Props have to be made (can't be wasted). They are on a tight time limit. Once that camera starts rolling, all attention and care should be to ensure that they record the actor's best performance. If they don't, then then either you get a compromised performance on screen or they have to spend time refilming the sequences. As an actor, he knows when he has not done his best. His career and future work depend upon doing a great job. Some bozo off on the sideline distracting me would piss me off too. It's easy to say he was out of line, but to me it's no different than someone sabotaging what I do at work. I also think that whoever leaked the tape should be fired and banned from working on any set again in the future. In the end though, this is just going to help promote the movie. |

Well Bales mother and Sister were trying to hit him up for money. They do that a lot. He has a strained relationship with his family because they have tried to take advantage o him since he got popular. It was verbal assault also.
The Terminator Incident had to do with a guy that not only walked through a scenewhile it was filming, but he kept messing with the lights during filming. you are not supposed to adjust anything ever during a take.
If I was a method actor like Bale I would have jumped in his shit as well.
Bale is a great actor.
Check out the Machinist sometime.
