Alright fellas, this board needs to chatter about something. If you aint gonna talk about comics, then at least participate in something and lets play a March Madness bracket challenge at ESPN.COM. I know we probably aint all into sports and stuff and know what's going on in basketball, but who gives a shit? Is it really going to matter to anyone that you lost to me on a March Madness bracket? Who knows, you might even win. Im not all into college basketball and know everything that is going on. I just catch headlines here and there. Hell, get your girlfriend or wife to pick, I dont care! Just play. Shit, lets talk about something around here. Talk about who's doing what and whos got a chance at winning it all? See who ranks highest nationally! Shit, you can win $10,000 if you beat everyone in the country. Its worth 10 minutes to fill it out and just be a good website teammate. Fuck, shits depressing enough, let's have some fun! Here is the link... games.espn.go.com/tcmen/group?groupID=62413Group name is: Comic Crackpassword is: comicsIf you're having problems, go to espn.com, click on tournament challenge and then search for group Comic Crack. Log in using the password comics. And if you like you can fill out more than one bracket! Invite anyone you want to join as well! Come on fellas! Let's do this! ;D

I figured it was outrageous for me to try this to get a little activity going around here, but I did hope at least 1 person would take me up on it. I mean, I remember when I used to be at valiantfans.com. I remember they set up tournament and about 20-30 guys tried it out. I think that year I came in 4th. It was fun. It gave some of us something to talk about and no one took it too seriously. I also played fantasy football with valiantfans.com. Although towards the end I believe the commissioner cheated towards the very end to give himself a playoff advantage, until that point I was having fun. After having a fairly dominant team during the regular season, my team would fall 1 game away from the Super Bowl and I still feel in large part due to a corrupt trade right after the trading deadline had ended. But he was the commissioner and like Ive found with just about every fantasy football league Ive ever been in, if the commissioner is playing in your league, you can never trust the commissioner. I find they are usually the most likely to win the thing because nobody can tell them they did something illegal. I mean, they are the law. So what happened is, the next year, I just didnt play again even though I was invited. I felt cheating was the reason I didn't play. In any event, there is no way to cheat in this fantasy league. Its set up by espn.com and they are impartial to whatever would happen with us. Anyway, I know no one comes here for sports. But if you just take it for fun and something to do and a way to participate in the board, because no one is taking it serious, it would have been nice. It's taking part in things that makes 1 board better than another. I guess I will just have to figure out something else again.... Back to the drawing board.

I'm personally not interested in any fantasy sports stuff. The basketball challenge is not really a fantasy sports thing. Its a fill out a bracket which if you put no effort into it take 10 minutes and 2 weeks later you see how you did. When I used to work at my office job, some of the more sports minding guys at work would always try and get people to fill in a bracket and maybe everyone put in $5 to see who picked the best bracket. Usually we had enough people that the winning bracket fetched like $500 - $700. Half the office was playing the damn thing. Shit during work guys would be giving updates of who was doing what. Who had a shot at it. The other guys were just hoping for respectable finishes. There might have even been a handful of girls playing and some of the guys would hope they did at least better than the girls. Its just a 1 time fill it out and wait to see how you did. I actually had 1 guy from my old job fill one out. Made my day. I posted it on myspace and he must have seen it. At 12 noon on Thursday, the time to enter is over. Although I know I don't have a snowball's chance in hell, a side note is a shot to win $10,000. Where Im sitting, that would be nice.

Well, it depends on which bracket you want to discuss. In the comic crack tournament I had nobody sign up except 1 person I used to work with at my last job (amazed me when I seen he joined). As of right now, I am beating him on that. However, that one is in serious doubt. He has UNC and Kansas in the big game and I have Syracuse and Memphis in the big game. As I write this, Memphis is getting stomped and if they lose, I will probably lose the Comic Crack tournament. Which, that would be disheartening. However, I have another bracket which is from the ESPN tv show Pardon the Interuption, or PTI for short. In that bracket, as I write this, I am not only doing better than anybody that appears on that TV show, I am beating 85% of the United States! In that one I have Villianova and Louisville in the big game on that one. I also have Missouri beating Memphis. So if Memphis gets beat, on one hand, its not good for my Comic Crack game. But on the other hand, its awesome for my PTI bracket. If you want to see my bracket on that game, I think this link should work. games.espn.go.com/tcmen/entry?entryID=3566393Do me a favor you guys, just for shits and giggles, you guys GOT to do this next year. I mean COME ON! I hardly watch college basket ball and Im beating lots of sports celebrities. Not to mention the President of the United States. Who still has a shot of a good finish himself! Its just amazing how this shit plays out. Its all pot luck. But you got to try it to have the fun of doing it. Even if you dont know just, what harm does it hurt to fill out a damn bracket!!!! Come on! Live a little!

Wow! I am TRIPPIN OUT!!! BIGTIME!!! With Missouri and Villainova winning, I jumped up to now Im beating 98.27% of the country with my bracket CURRENTLY as we speak. There was nearly 5 million entries in this thing. I know even if I get the rest of my picks right, I still wont win this thing. I have 660 points and the currently leader of the United States has 770. I can still make another possible 1120 points (which is the highest that still can be made). Im just tripping out that with currently 12 teams left in it, Im just 1.73% of the brackets away from that $10,000! Dammit! I could have used that damn money!!!

I didn't know this topic was here. I also don't know anything about college basketball. In fact I don't care much for college sports.

Syracuse losing just destroyed my bracket. I'm surprised I only dropped so far from 98% to 94%. But that number is going to drop even more as I had Syracuse winning the next game too, so that isn't possible. It hosed my bracket. I had a perfect yesterday. I knew it was a long, long, longshot. But if I somehow got through tonight unscathed, I would have had a bracket to pay attention to and be truly proud of. Who cares if you dont care for college basketball? I don't watch it either really. Just fill out a bracket and pick names of cities you like. Shit, cant hurt. It was all just for fun. The one guy who DID actually play me in the comic crack league looks like he will end up beating me unless UNC or Kansas go down. UNC would be better as he has them winning it all. I have virtually no chance of winning the comic crack tournament and there was only 1 person playing me. So there!
