Not that it ain't happened before, but the word is they're killing Galactus again in FF #575. Galactus was always one of my favorite villains. And I always thought only a few artists drew him properly and only a few times did he have above average storylines. Still, I always thought Galactus was just plain cool. This is supposed to be an interior pic. I actually dig the pic. I think it would make a great cover by today's standards.

He'll come back as a gray cloud so they can use him in an FF3 movie some day. df1

The newest books by Jonathin Hickman and Dale Eaglesham are awesome. The first storyline focused directly on Reed and his need to fix everything. It is easily one of the best standalone Reed stories ever. Eagleahams art is beautiful to look at. He rocked on JSA and now he is putting his talents to use in FF. Thank you comic gods.
Also I have to disagree about the Movie Galactus. He was not a big grey cloud.
You know what KIRBY DOTS are right? That massive crackling cosmic energy that Kirby designed. Well Imagine this, Glactus is so Enormous on his own that his ship is actually larger than the planet earth and is freely moving through space. Well all of that energy would just burn the space around it. So That cloud represents all of the energy put off by his ship. When the tendrils are heading towards Zenn La at the beginning and later towards the Earth, If you look closely you can see massive machinery within the smoke. I personally couldn't ubut a 400 foot guy anyway. Galactus would need to stand at the least a 1/2 mile tall to be intimidating.

I was joking about the cloud. I've been told you get a short glimpse of him in the cloud. I liked both FF movies and was really waiting for a third.
You gotta realize I'm very cynical about modern comics. I'm sick of every story trying to shock the reader. Galactus is dead finally? Yawn? I guess they can have him marry Aunt May when he comes back to life.

I hear ya about Modern comics. Most of them are just regurgatations of older stories. Yeah you could see Galactus in FF2. I liked both films myself. Especially the second one. The thing that kills me, is I think they adapted the comic pretty accurately over all. People acted like it was designed for an 8 year old. It probably was, but It still had the characters right. Half of the second film drew on comic stories from all thoughout the history of the characters.
Apparently, they are now going to reboot the franchise and make the tone darker. (thanks Dark Knight) and more serious. As long as they get an actual blue eyed blond for Sue.

Seen a promo about a month ago saying Epting was going to draw the FF series due out I think in early fall. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing how he does with it. I thought his run on Captain America was great and I haven't cared much about the FF in maybe 20 years. I'm curious to see how he will do with it.

I've been thinking about writing a review about the last issue of Fantastic Four. I thought up until Johnny Storm got killed, they were on a roll. Fantastic Four was getting up there with Captain America in terms of being a quality comic. Then they had to get with the gimmicks.
First Johnny needlessly dies. And although I absolutely hate the death, the events leading up to and including the death were fabulous. The Fantastic Four seemed fresh again and worthwhile. It felt like it had some of it's old fun.
While reading the last issue of the Fantastic Four, there was a promo couple of pages for the new Fantastic Four series slated to be called "FF" and I couldn't have been more sick to my stomach when I seen it.
Gone are the familiar blue uniforms. Yes, they are dated as hell, but over the years they have been modernized and still fit the team well. I don't mind so much that they changed the uniforms as much as I mind how drastic they did it.
These white uniforms with the 3 revolving squares on them would look cool on some other characters, but on the FF they look completely foreign. Okay, even still....I could maybe live with checking them out in their new costumes. No, that wasn't the illest part. The worst part is seeing Johnny Storm's replacement. None other than.......Spiderman.
I've got to say, Marvel Comics is royally fucking up or fucking with everything that ever mattered and I'm ready to go to their offices and piss on someone's face. I know I'll probably get these books and look into them because I'm an FF fan to begin with. But I have ZERO interest in seeing Spiderman as a member of the FF.
It seems Marvel combined with Disney just continues to water down their characters. There is a backup story with Franklin Richards and Spiderman and it's clear they're kiddie-izing this comic. As Reed and Sues children become more and more a bigger part of the comic, the FF are being turned into a Power Pack with superhero parents. And now we get Spiderman to babysit and tell them right from wrong as well as he can join them on missions. Fuck all this! I never thought Spiderman worked well in team books. And he makes absolutely no sense in the FF. Yeah, I know he was there with the FF on Amazing Spiderman #1. And I certainly remember the "What If Spiderman joined the Fantastic Four" comic. But come on! The joke is over. This can't last.
Marvel has done took another great book which is something I cannot say very many times these days and fucked it up.
My faith in Marvel is at an all-time low.

Yeah, I know he was there with the FF on Amazing Spiderman #1. And I certainly remember the "What If Spiderman joined the Fantastic Four" comic. But come on! The joke is over. This can't last. It will last for 2 years then they will bring Johnny back and restart the old series again and eventually renumber it back orginal or until a new Fantastic Four movie is made. IIRC Spider-Man did officially join the Fantastic Four for a short time he teamed up with The Invisible Woman, Ghost Rider, and the Hulk (I think it was the Hulk) in The Fantastic Four #347-#350 (or there abouts) and he MIGHT have been granted a kind of reserve member status with the FF after that, like his former reserve member status with the Avengers. Hell I think Spider-Man is now a full-fledged member of the X-Men.

Hell I think Spider-Man is now a full-fledged member of the X-Men. The thing about that Fantastic Four run, yes I believe it was indeed 347 - 350. It didn't look like Spidey was a part of the Fantastic Four as we know it. I always feel like it is okay from him to guest star. But it's not okay for him to be showing up every issue. Its like Spider-man has 3 or 4 lives now. His normal Peter Parker life, His regular Spider-man life and now his life with the FF. Is he just going to check in with the FF like he is coming to work everyday? It's stupid. The FF live together. They are a family. Spiderman is like a relative who comes to visit and now he needs to leave because everyone is over him. Marvel has made a lot of fucked up moves in the last couple of years, but this is just one of the worst. Even on it's own, Spiderman is one of the most disappointing characters Marvel has right now and now hes a member of the FF and fucking up a team that quite literally had it's best run in ages just go to waste. I fucking hate all the fucking up that Marvel has been doing lately. Damn, I'm so sick of seeing the Black Panther as Daredevil. I'm just pissed right now with them. What pisses me off the most is they don't even realize anymore when they've got something good going. They just fuck up the formula if they do. It makes me feel like a bunch of incompetents are running the show over there. Or the creators who are there just don't have a clue. To me Hickman and Epting have every ability to write the most epic tales Marvel has ever had. Instead they use these talents to just fuck up "everything you ever knew" about characters. Marvel is a waste of talent. I think I will tweet that....
