I was watching tv today and even though I know its something I won't check out I did think the computer graphics on the huge creatures was pretty awesome. Anyone else have any thoughts on this movie?

The original is a classic. I am looking forward to this.
Also the Director is on the short list to direct the Avengers.

I liked the original. I think the new one is unnecessary. One movie that had suprisingly cool special effects was Percy & the Lightning Thief. The girl I date wanted to see it. Overall it was too modeled after a Harry Potter movie and aimed at kids. Other than that it was pretty decent.

Has anyone seen this movie yet? Was it any good? I've heard mixed reviews. I guess if you love Harryhausan's effects then you might want to see it. I read somewhere that someone thought that Pegsus (the flying horse) looked better in the orginial than in the remake and that the Kraken looked horrible; to others saying it was cool park-your-brains popcorn movie. Personaly I would like to see it just to see Liam Neeson as Zeus, because it's pretty fucking hard to top Ray Harryhausan's special effects even with top of the line 3D CGI. |
