The entire comics industry is still running to catch up w/ John Byrne's Uncanny X-Men. Light years ahead of it's time #whiletheylive

Seriously, Byrne's X-Men work is more modern than today's work. Like he came from the future to taunt us. #whiletheylive

How can he be so inspired by Byrne's X-Men work, but draw such crap that has no resemblance to it? df1

How can he be so inspired by Byrne's X-Men work, but draw such crap that has no resemblance to it? df1 The fact he pays homage to it is good enough for me. At least over the years I feel like his art has improved (although very slowly and still has a long ways to go). He at least respects what made books like that great. When I look at Liefeld's art lately, I see greatness WANTING to get out. He just isn't able to pull it off. On the other hand, creators like Erik Larson like to totally erode what Byrne did both as an artist and as a person. I seen Larson totally slam his abilities and made it seem like he was an egotistical tyrant (which may be true, but lets give Byrne props.....He can flat out draw). The funny thing is, as Larson totally bashes Byrne and at the same time produces art that is just above scribbly sketches that get mass produced in his books. I think he's a fraud taking shortcuts and getting away with it. So one pays homage to Byrne and slowly improves. The other knocks the shit out of Byrne and at the same time delivers a product that he really should be ashamed of. I'll take the former in this case.

I just wish when a kid saw Batman on TV, they could buy a batman series that they'll still want to read ten years from now.

It is only good for announcements or updates on a web site. Occasionally it works as a poor substitute for email or online discussion. I noticed that the trending topics are where marketing companies drop their links to web pages. They see a trending topic and put that phrase in their spam posts. Whenever someone 'follows' my feed, I look to see if they are a marketing company and I block them. Josh Adams quit writing interesting posts when he got a paying gig for DC. I no longer follow him. I don't really care about what he's drawing for DC nor do I care about Dr. Who which he references in a post quite periodically.

Josh posts on Bleedingcool a good deal. I get into conversations with him now and again. He gave some praise to my work that is on deviantart which is cool with me considering his dad is one of my Idols in comics.
I don't do twitter. Hell, I have a hard enough time getting shit done as it is. LOL
Byrne was the man.

This would be one new comic I would actively try and get the rest of. One of the best comics I've seen from the past 5 years.
