I am setting up at Ricmond this time with 4 tables. I am going to have the motherload of $1 books and 25-50% off back issues from the California collection I just picked up. Most all Silver Age-Bronze age will be the 25-50% off...tons of Bronze age to current in the $1 boxes. I am scrambling trying to get it all ready in time. 24-25,000 books is alot to process!! Wish you would do some shows up this way, sounds like you'll have some good deals!

Wish you would do some shows up this way, sounds like you'll have some good deals! I used to hit the road and do shows all the time, but in the last 5 years I think I may have done 4 or 5. I try to flip stuff as fast as I can. Sometimes I do it too fast,as it'll be dry for months without anything good coming in,but I've learned from the past...sell it while you can. I'm always open for negotiation. It doesn't always work, but most times it does. I know people don't have to have this stuff, and I am not the only one in the world with a Spider-Man #1. It looks cool on the shop wall or a show board, but I don't run a museum. The longer I keep something, the less I like seeing it,and it has to go!

Damn, I hate missing this but with the Tropical Storm hitting and stuff, I dont think I want to do over 100 miles of driving one way in pouring rain. If the weather was clear, I was going to shoot for it, but looks like Im going to miss this one. Damn, I wanted to see those books!

That's it, she kept me here. ;D No seriously, the last tropical storm I took the day off of work. If I hadnt have done that, I wouldnt have been able to get home. There is only 1 road in and out of my neighborhood and it was majorly flooded and impassable. They had a cop at the entrance of the road stopping people from coming in. Now, I certainly don't expect anything like that with this one, but I do think my neighborhood tends to flood badly. Also, I think Richmond might have it worse than we do in terms of rain. True it will be gone by late afternoon. But getting there would be half the battle. If it wasnt for the weather, I was coming to this one.

Excuse me for being just a bit gun shy about the drainage of my neighborhood after experiencing TROPICAL STORM Ernesto
