If you were surfing from work, your IP adress may have been changed at some point in the connection. That's just a wild guess. If it thought you direct linking to the image, it would have blocked you. That is common. As a test, you could back up to the html page, reload it, and immediately click the link again. You might have to change your cache settings, but I wouldn't think you should have to.

I just tried it at work and all 10 worked. I dont generally have a problem with my computer on anything, but, I dont like what that is saying either. I do have this bad habit of leaving my computer on all the time (because I hate waiting for it to boot up) So, I leave it on. Sometimes when it hasnt been rebooted in awhile, it gets funny. Maybe if I rebooted it, it would work fine. It's funny though, because the 403 error looks to be made from the same program as your checklist. Its the same colors and lettering and everything. So, it almost seems like the list rejects my computer. But, its working fine here at work. So... Anyway, the more I look at those pics the more I like them. I'd love to have them. You know me.

Do keep in mind that on those issues they were high quality pedigree book scans and then I fixed some of the flaws. My scans are going to look better than what you'd realistically be able to buy. cfs

Doing my Charlton Checklist made me curious about Steve Ditko's work on Static. For that reason I picked this up the other day. I actually intend on reading it. I don't read many comics anymore. cfs

I don't read many comics anymore. cfs I dont know much at all about it, but I remember seeing this Static character. I seem to recall and I could be wrong, but I seem to think it may be one of Ditko's last works for Charlton before the company folded. Is this book you have here a Charlton? Or is it something that collected his work on Static and is actually a current book? Regardless, I think I would like it. It seems the older I get, the more I like Ditko. I grew up almost hating the dude. The only I even only sorta liked was his very early Spiderman work. Now I know way differently. His 1950's work is something I absolutely love and drool over. And a lot of his work well into the 70s I actually like now. Still, I will say that some of his work is way too simplistic for me even after building a deep respect and admiration for the man's work. Some of it, I just dont like. The difference is, now I love a lot more of his work than I used to.

It reprints those last Charlton issues and then goes on with more material which has a ©2000 in the indicia. I assume that's the year it came out. cfs

Regarding my Charlton Checklist.... The toughest part is getting scans since I don't own the comics. Some scans are hard to find and when I do find them, they have problems. I wanted to show another before and after. I'm using these scans as practice to learn new techniques with Paint Shop Pro on my own. Before... Water stain, penned in side burns in three places, excessive creases. After.... just a little better... shrunk slightly to blend some of my mistakes. Still not perfect... bur less of an eye sore. defiant1
