damn dude...Good Work!!! Basically this book went from like a GD to a FN/FN Kind of scary when you think of this and ebay. But personally for yourself.....excellent work! I've been saying for a very long time that a scan online tells me nothing when I'm buying a book. First, you don't know if the scan you see is the comic you bought. Second, nothing stops people from doing what I've done. You could doctor the corners of a VF book and sell it as NM. When the customer gets the book with messed up corners, plead ignorance and say "ooops! shipping damage! Not my responsibility." That's one reason I get very irate about poor packaging. It's an easy way for someone to be a crook if they want to. They can blame the shipping company and laugh all the way to the bank. cfs

Recent purchases... I like the issues where they were struggling to survive... Dr. Graves #73 Professor Coffin # 21 Static #11 Tales of the Mysterious Traveler #14 cfs Anytime you have a 75 cent Charlton, you have one of their last publications. That Professor Coffin we may have discovered tied with my Iron Corporal #25 as the last Charltons that we knew. I know I have tried tracking down what is the last Charlton and I remember we had a thread on your site. I know the Iron Corporal #25 I has ties with a Professor Coffin according to date. I also find that the 75 cent Charltons seem to be a cut above their other stuff from the 80s. Its pretty amazing, because the stuff that came out before this was dumpster material. Its hard finding a decent copy of any of it before the 75 cent issues. The paper quality is horrendous and the stories and art look like a company begging to go out of business. The 75 cent comics seem to be one last attempt to get it together. I find a genuinely like having any of those issues. BTW, All 4 of these, I need. Sweet stuff!

Presented for your review, my newest purchases. Cartoon Spice #1 -- Beautiful copy, but it does have a subscription crease. Cartoon Spice #3 - Beautiful copy. Headlights cover. Slight discoloration/watermark in top corner. More noticeable on the back cover. Cartoon Spice #4 - Lowest grade of the three. Headlights cover. Discoloration (staining?) on the spine. No other scans to be found online. Couldn't find any site offering it for sale or mentioning it anywhere. Very pleased to uncover this item and share it's existence with collectors. cfs

Damn dude! I like these a lot. They look really racy when I come to realize it is a Charlton. I know this stuff was meant for adults, but still, you just dont think of Charlton this way. I think that is some cool stuff. I wish I had them. They look rather rare and certainly unique.

I believe the adult humor titles are some of the rarest even up through the 80's. Of all the Charlton's, these interest me the most. I only plan on buying the rarest or otherwise most interesting stuff to me.

i have picked up my first charlton books in the last couple of weeks. I am focusing on the action heroes books and grades are 'ebay' versions, but I am looking forward to hopefully getting into this part of the Charlton line.

i have picked up my first charlton books in the last couple of weeks. I am focusing on the action heroes books and grades are 'ebay' versions, but I am looking forward to hopefully getting into this part of the Charlton line. That's how I got started pretty much. It's hard to catch the fever on Charltons, but I kept thinking how I never see any in really good shape and I never see dealers have many at one time. Even at a major convention like Charlotte I went to last year, the most any one dealer had was about 2 boxes of Charlton's. That was the most! So, I started thinking these things need to be collected. No one else is. And, I started looking for them and buying them. I made it known I was getting into them and cfs sent me about 75 for free ;D That's when my collection really started taking off. I'll freely admit, a lot of them are crap. I mean crap. But, there are some that are worth counterparts to the mainstream books of their days. Especially books who were bought out by DC. Some of those books are true gems when you find them in good shape. My Charlton collection has become one of the biggest prides I have and I cannot wait to get more.

I have ordered the Action Heroes (vol 2) HC as well to give me a sturdy reading copy.

I have ordered the Action Heroes (vol 2) HC as well to give me a sturdy reading copy. I'm not familiar with that, is that a Charlton Publication?
