Dr. Solar, Man of the Atom #1-2, Magnus: Robot Fighter #1-2, and Turok, Son of Stone #1 to be perfectly honest none of these books just aren't what books that I what I expected from Jim Shooter. I was expecting some fresh and exciting instead I feel like I'm reading a Jim Shooter rip off by Jim Shooter. I'm sorry but I'm not going to waste anymore of my money on these titles. I described it as going around the block to take one step backwards. I actually agree with you. I quit buying after the FCBD issue. I was so annoyed that they started making limited variants of books left and right that I said to hell with it. I'm not some horse being led around with a carrot on a stick. I'm really tired of buying the same comic two and three times. df1

cyberstrike,
Saw your reply to Knightt on the valiantfans board. I smiled. Glad to see that someone else sees through his @ss kissing bulls#!t. Why is he buying the comics now (or taking them free) if he bought them when they came out? The guy is a cheapskate always looking for handouts. It's far more likely that he hasn't bought any of them and he's hoping to pick them up now cheap.

Do they still do his Cystic Fibrosis deals anymore? Towards the end, I had some slight concerns with that.

I over $400 in TPBs and HC on hold at my LCS I sure as hell, I'm not giving away my comics for free.

I have to be honest. I'm more excited for John Bryne's Next Men relaunch than I am for ANY of the Valiant books.

Well $150 of that $400 is for IDW's 3 hardcovers of John Byrne's Next Men and in The Transformers #14 there is a 5 page preview of John Byrne's Next Men vol. 2 #1 and I must say that from this preview that this is IMHO some of Byrne's BEST artwork in years if not his whole career.

Am the only one to think that this whole line of Dark Horse/Gold Key/Dark Key/Valiant (or whatever you want to call them) is just a way for Dark Horse to try and sell the Gold Key Hardcover reprints and TPBs to Gold Key/Jim Shooter/Valiant fanboys?
Because quite frankly I think they're better than the stuff Shooter is doing and I can't stand 99% of Silver Age writing.

They haven't adequately hyped Jim's material. They condensed it. They've let artists ignore his script notes. There is no focus on building a universe. df1

In his mind, if you want fair compensation for the comics you bought, it means you have a grudge again kids with CF. df1
