Do you think the guys at valiantfans.com still care for them and want them to win as much as they used to or have they now jumped ship and jumped on the Dark Horse bandwagon? Is there any "Down with Dark Horse" threads the way their was "Down with VIP" threads? Hmmmmm? ;D

I don't read most of the board there, just picking what I'm interested in. I've been keeping up with most of the Dark Horse chat there, and have even started a few of the Dark Horse threads. IMO most of the members there seem pretty excited about Shooter reviving the Gold Key characters at DH, with some lamenting VEI seemingly passed by on all this. Random shots at VEI are taken as well. I'm waiting to see if Greg starts a Dark Horse board there. I think he should, but that's just my opinion. My guess is VEI has little if any operating capital, though that's only a guess. That's still the board I often turn to for opinions and such, and I'm approaching 1,500 posts there, all since 12-05.

My guess is VEI has little if any operating capital, though that's only a guess. It seems they went broke when they bought the properties and was waiting for a way to cash in on it. I think they missed their chance and all discussions will be directed to Dark Horse now. That's still the board I often turn to for opinions and such, and I'm approaching 1,500 posts there, all since 12-05. I had 1614 posts over there when I left. When I had a problem and told Greg I wanted to leave he was like..... See Ya!!!! He never once asked me what the problem was.

I don't think anyone can really say without a question it would be posturing if Greg started a Dark Horse board over there. I think it would be a natural thing to want to discuss Shooter reviving the Gold Key characters at Dark Horse on that board, and if it's done it's not nescessarily posturing. In my opinion it will most likely be done, if it is done, because board members are talking so much about Dark Horse over there, as is to be expected, and the Dark Horse discussion over there may just increase as the Shooter launch heats up. It would only be natural to consolidate all the Dark Horse talk onto one board. I obviously can't speak to your experience at that board, other than to say I'm sorry it wasn't the best. I wasn't the most poplular guy there for awhile when I came up with the X-O 0 Ivory variant and what my opinion on that book was. I also once gave the business to ZWH and he presumably hammered me for doing so on the board, though I didn't read much of what he wrote about me. I later apologized to him for my role in the whole thing, and that felt good. I don't hold onto grudges, so nothing I've experienced at vf.com bothers me. I go there often because I enjoy it.

We both believe in forgiveness, but it's impossible to forgive someone for doing something when they never quit doing it. I really don't care what Greg does. Cut and dried, he does not represent what I liked about Valiant so his board in general is nothing I care to follow. I find it offensive that people think his opinion is relevant about Valiant at all. Defiant1

What I saw may be the exception, and not the rule. Defiant1

So do you think Dark Horse announcing Shooter doing Valiant characters for them was the biggest nightmare VEI could have? I think they already knew. Buying the Valiant properties was like buying an injured race horse and spending all your money. They left no budget for medical care. No budget for food. No budget for someone to take care of it at all. They spent top dollar for something that they thought everyone wanted and never realized that a train wreck gets more attention than one that hits all it's destinations with prefect precision as intended. Naturally there will be thread areas over there and why not? As there should be if you are going to have a relevant board about Valiant. My point is, Dark Horse aint no Dino. They may respect what's going on over at that site, but I don't think they will make behind the scenes chatter with them to drum up the band for total support and loyalty of their projects. They don't need it. As far as holding grudges, I only brought up the point because you mentioned how many posts you had. One thing I realized is it didn't matter how much I contributed over there if I wasn't in the magic circle. There appeared to be various "tiers" of membership if you get my drift. As far as holding a grudge, leaving was a great decision. The only grudge I hold to anybody is to myself for not leaving sooner.

I felt that leaving took my mind out of an overcrowded box and allowed me to think what I want, focus on other things I want or like, and basically quit living on hopes of something that never could be the same again. I walked away feeling better that I had walked away. Defiant1
