I figured I would go ahead and make a thread for my stuff that I draw or paint. I will post pages and sketches and whatever else I can. This first image is one of the pages from my current webcomic project. I took a photo of the page with my camera. So this is just pencils with no lettering or even borders in place. The photo sort of sucks, but this is a sneak peek so bear with me. After Troy inks and colors it and I letter it you will see the final piece. ;D Anyway, this is page 3 Hope you like it.

This shows a lot of promise Mike. I'm liking the way this is looking. I can see a progression from the last times I was around you in terms of your comic art. There were phases where you didn't put as much effort into your comic art as I thought you should or could do. At times you were living up and reaching new horizons, but then it sometimes seemed like you lost interest and your main focus was understandably, making a living with your art, as it should be. Unfortunately, there was many times your comic art took a back seat because of this. Whenever you put a lot into your comic art, I always seen what I know you are capable of doing. Keep it up with consistent work like this. Like anything, there is still room for improvement, but when work is consistently of this level, I can really say nothing bad about it. It's good stuff. If nothing else, it will always be work worth showing, and at best, it may open even more doors for you! There is still plenty of time left.

Hey thanks man that means a lot. Really. I have been pretty happy so far with the stuff I am doing. I am enjoying this comic. Plus Troy likes stuff tight so I am keeping that in mind. On my facebook in the albums there is a picture of Poison Ivy that I drew and he inked I think it looks nice.
I will get some hi-res scans of the other pages on here when I scan them in a couple of days. If you like what you see here, You will like it better when you can see the detail.
Thanks again.

Hey guys. Here are 5 of the 8 pages I will be submitting to ZUDA.com for thier monthly contest. I have not lettered these yet since I cannot open my script in word because I no longer have the program. I need to get on a system that has it so I can print the file out. so anyway, here they are I hope you like them. Keep these on the downlow. I have not shown these around yet.

Good to see new work from you BigW. It's all pretty solid. I like most of what I see. Some pics more than others of course. I think some pics are some of the most solid I've seen from you, where others seem a bit basic or stiff. Overall, I think it's solid work. So don't get me wrong. If I was around you, I'd be pointing and commenting on things the way I used to. In the big scheme of things, my opinion doesn't really matter. When it comes right down to it, I can't do it myself and regardless of the few tiny details that don't personally please me, the overall whole of the work is very solid and I want that to be the overall impression I leave with you. The parts I do like are excellent. Well done!

Why thanks gowaltrip. I just noticed that Photobucket removed one of my pictures. How bizzare.

Why thanks gowaltrip. I just noticed that Photobucket removed one of my pictures. How bizzare. I noticed that too. Kinda made me wonder what the offending element was. Think you can try a reupload?

I was impressed by some of the proportions and perspective in your work, but I want to toss in some constructive criticism because I think you can bump it up to a higher level. Some of the eyes need refining to separate you from all the guys that attempt to make comics and fail miserably. Most notably page 4, the eyes lean towards more of caricature art which slightly deflates the impact of the page. Since I can't draw worth a damn, it actually made me want to search for a tutorial on how to draw eyes. I found this page and I agree with one of the statements.. www.ratemydrawings.com/tutorials/portrait/178-Drawing_different_kinds_of_Eyes.html"When drawing eyes, its crucial to be PRECISE. We look at eyes everyday, we know exactly how eyes look and notice instantly if there's something wrong with a drawing of an eye." On most of the other pages the eyes don't stand out as a weak point. defiant1

I reuploaded the page, but it is the same one that I posted a few days ago. Weird. When you reupload, make sure you use the NEW link to your pictures. What I meant by reupload was, reupload to Photobucket the 1 offending page. When you do that, use the NEW link it creates and edit your post with the new link. I cant see any reason why the original was deleted, so it could have been a mistake or some fluke. If so, a reupload should bring your pic back and not be deleted this time.
