Since I know we all like the ladies, here are a couple of pencil sketches I did this week. I will probably ink and or paint them also. One from each company. They are okay. I like the pose on Pheonix, and I like the life in Zatanna.

I like the pose on Pheonix, and I like the life in Zatanna. That's a pretty good summation. I also like the pose on Phoenix but I think the Zatanna is the better picture or the one that looks better to me. It looks like when it is finished, it will look less flawless. You are correct with the Phoenix pose being good. I like that about it but there is something funky going on in the head and arms area. I think it's more the arms. She has a pretty banging body and then you get to the arms and she has arms like a toothpick girl. Being shapely, I don't expect her to huge arms, but I think they need to be a bit fuller than what you made them. Overall though, both are good pics.

If you look closely at the pose Pheonix is in, she looks like a Dancer doing a Flash extension, which is when they come out of a spin, they go into that pose with arms extended and hands downturned the way I have them. Her arms are the proper length for scale, but I did purposely make her forearms look a bit long which is an illusion. The other thing, is that, the way her arms are posed, lessens the amount of Tricep that is showing giving you more of a bicep view, thereby dding to the skinny look. Zatanna, was drawn large enough that I was able to go more detailed on her face and since all of the lighting is coming from the wand, it was much easier to set up solid light sourcing. I think that makes her look more realistic. When I paint them in, I am hoing to really make Zatanna pop.
Thanks for the comments.

Not trying to offend, just the way I see it in my mind. I've seen enough comics and poses and anatomy pictures to know whether my mind likes the way things look or not. I think if you cut off each individual piece, they ain't bad, but slapped together, something doesn't look right to me. Just me. Don't really need an explanation of the pose and what it does to the muscles. Not sure "fullness" of the arms is really the problem. To me, something just looks off. It might even be the head. (Too small maybe???). I love the pic from the tits down. Not 1 complaint there. Regardless, I still think they look pretty good even with my petty bitches and I appreciate you posting. I was just giving my own feedback (the peanut gallery).

Zatanna's left hand is too long and the grip isn't natural. Her right eye is too large in relation to her left eye.
Overall I like the Phoenix better, but you've included a little artistic license and extended the sleekness her arms and legs a bit to the extreme. Her wrists and ankles are a tad too small. The bone on her left foot is a little too pronunced. It's a tad bit distracting. I think you need to work on improving the thumbs on both. Overall a solid effort and some of the best I've seem you post as far as proportions and composition.
