I expect to see naked babes with ink on their body parts soon. You could just photograph the spot where you intend on putting the tattoo. Female body parts interest me more than art. df1

Oh I will post pics when it happens. I guess you guys didn't like my Cap movie drawing huh? BTW, The Cap film is probably the best Superhero film to date. ITs Better than Iron Man, And great in a completely different way than Dark Knight. Well worth going to see in the theater. Women were digging it a lot also.

Why ask me to post this stuff if it is going to be ignored?

Why ask me to post this stuff if it is going to be ignored? I don't think you should feel that way Mike. People will speak if they feel moved to speak on your work. I thought the idea was to share your work and let others see your talent as well as if they care to, provide input on what they see as flaws. If we don't respond, it doesn't mean anything one way or another. It probably means we were just lazy and didn't care to take the time to type a message and say either how great it was or what we don't like about it. I've done said on Facebook that I had criticisms of it and I'd be happy to share with you what I PERSONALLY thought from my own perspective. But another part of me feels like you'll just see me as being nothing but critical and hesitant to tell you anything good and that's not the case at all. I think you draw excellent but I don't think you always live up to your potential either and when I critique, its usually because I know you can do better. In relation, I cannot touch what you do and I really have no right to speak. But if work is out there and a "tell me what you think" tag is applied to it, as a friend and someone who admires what you do, I might tell you things that I PERSONALLY (And no one else might think) thinks of your work. I can only say this. Usually when awesome work is out there, usually people are MOVED to say it is awesome all on their own.

I don't have an opinion about it. It looks much better with color. I'm not a huge Captain America fan. You said you drew it without looking at reference material. It seems silly to dissect it. It wouldn't meet professional expectations because Cap isn't featured with exaggerated muscles. The red skulls face and upper torso is a little narrow. I wouldn't call it a true rendition of the character I see in comics, but it's a solid piece by any other standards. I think the action would stand out more if the floor wasn't so dark.

I am not expecting critiques or anything. If you want to do that, feel free. But at this point, I see all the flaws that may be in them. I do like feedback though. It can be as simple as Meh. or I dig this one dude. But I hope to never get a -meh- on anything.
The reason honestly for the response I gave is because after I posted it, the site was dead for days. No one posted anything. Suddenly, cyberstrike comments in a thread he had started and suddeny everyone is back on the site commenting in that thread.
It made me feel as though, no one wanted to comment on my drawing, but was avoiding posting so they wouldn't be thought of as ignoring the thread. So when someone finally did post anything, it would be safe because it would open an opportunity to not be seen as doing that.
really bugged me for a couple of days.

So when someone finally did post anything, it would be safe because it would open an opportunity to not be seen as doing that. really bugged me for a couple of days. It's been going on like that around here for a long time Mike. I don't think anybody is avoiding any one subject or thread on purpose, it just may not be what they wanted to post on when they got here. Coupled with that that usually there is only 1 or 2 active threads going at any one time combined with the fact that generally people come and make a post and then disappear from 4-14 days at a time and you end up with a dead board. It's been like this well before you got here except this year has been worse than last (I do keep records, btw). A huge part of it is my fault. I havent posted half as much as I did last year and as the thread admin, it's really my job to get topics started. I would prefer some more self sufficiency in this area and people do a lot of creating on its own, but we have never reached that level of board wealth yet. A few times we get rolling a bit and for a bit we prosper and I get a bit excited. But usually within 2-3 months we return to near death levels and wait for more activity. A couple of years ago it almost drove me mad and I got seen as someone whining about my situation. So since then I pretty much revamped the site and have just let it go for good or bad and see how things fall. It isn't always good but it's never all bad. I think thats why we only have the amount of posts we do. It's all the board is really supporting. I could probably do more but that typically leads to more commitment and a higher level of frustration. So instead, I just let it roll. People come and go and what they do and don't post on is at times maddening to me. But it is what it is. You just had it on your thread. Trust me, it happens on a much, much wider scale than that.

ITs cool man. I got over it after a couple of days. And like I said, I don't expect some critique hen you guys do decide to comment. You could just say, I like this one or I never liked that costume but the drawing is cool, or That sucks dude. The critiques are welcome also but thats up to you guys. And I fully understand what you mean regarding the boards.
