I am not expecting critiques or anything. If you want to do that, feel free. But at this point, I see all the flaws that may be in them. I do like feedback though. It can be as simple as Meh. or I dig this one dude. But I hope to never get a -meh- on anything. The reason honestly for the response I gave is because after I posted it, the site was dead for days. No one posted anything. Suddenly, cyberstrike comments in a thread he had started and suddeny everyone is back on the site commenting in that thread. It made me feel as though, no one wanted to comment on my drawing, but was avoiding posting so they wouldn't be thought of as ignoring the thread. So when someone finally did post anything, it would be safe because it would open an opportunity to not be seen as doing that. really bugged me for a couple of days. As a general rule, I'm on messageboards for raw info.... facts.. knowledge Art normally doesn't inspire much of a comment from me. It is what it is. I like to see progress, or if someone wants me to pick something apart, I will. I didn't respond because I didn't have anything to say one way or another. If I said exactly what was on my mind, I felt like you'd only hear the negative vs. the equal amount of positives it evoked. For me it all balanced out. It is what it is. I criticize established pros when I know they can do better. For me, I want to encourage you to do your best without just piling on criticism. If you'd said "Hey, I worked on this for 8 days using photo references" and passed it off as Rembrandt... I might've pointed out that you missed some details. Some days I post just as a favor to G. I'm really burnt out on comic discussions and he knows it. I've been running a messageboard for 7 years and posting at a half dozen others. I've retired as a collector The only reason I post as much as I do is because after a day at work, my mind is wide awake and my body feels like it's been run over by a truck. That's a bad think considering we build equipment for the 450 ton capacity MINING trucks. Cyberstrike usually posts info (good or bad) which is more likely to evoke a response. G is just being a prick. He wanders off doing unimportant stuff like earning a living. One day he'll realize that if he wants his biggest accomplishment in life (this messageboard) to succeed he's going to have to post every once in awhile to entertain us. ☺df1 P.S. So when someone finally did post anything, it would be safe because it would open an opportunity to not be seen as doing that. really bugged me for a couple of days. It's been going on like that around here for a long time Mike. I don't think anybody is avoiding any one subject or thread on purpose, it just may not be what they wanted to post on when they got here. Coupled with that that usually there is only 1 or 2 active threads going at any one time combined with the fact that generally people come and make a post and then disappear from 4-14 days at a time and you end up with a dead board. It's been like this well before you got here except this year has been worse than last (I do keep records, btw). A huge part of it is my fault. I havent posted half as much as I did last year and as the thread admin, it's really my job to get topics started. I would prefer some more self sufficiency in this area and people do a lot of creating on its own, but we have never reached that level of board wealth yet. A few times we get rolling a bit and for a bit we prosper and I get a bit excited. But usually within 2-3 months we return to near death levels and wait for more activity. A couple of years ago it almost drove me mad and I got seen as someone whining about my situation. So since then I pretty much revamped the site and have just let it go for good or bad and see how things fall. It isn't always good but it's never all bad. I think thats why we only have the amount of posts we do. It's all the board is really supporting. I could probably do more but that typically leads to more commitment and a higher level of frustration. So instead, I just let it roll. People come and go and what they do and don't post on is at times maddening to me. But it is what it is. You just had it on your thread. Trust me, it happens on a much, much wider scale than that. Ive just been really busy. Between work and masturbating... I hardly have time for anything else. Oh yeah... dates too. df1

Earning a living is over rated. Besides, I handle critisism very well, but like I said, I was just bugged a little for a bit

Other than what I mentioned to you on Facebook about Batman's head and it appears a bit cartoony, I like this picture. The body work and lines are pretty solid.

here is a Batman and robin sketch that I did recently. its okay. Nice shading. Robin leg and Batman's torso are a bit small in proportion to the body. Hell, it's better than anything I can draw. df1

Well, since I haven't posted my last few pieces on here, I figured I owed it to ya to give you two that I just finished. Hope you like them. I am starting to paint this one, And I just finished painting this one sunday from one of my recent drawings. Galactus is 8.5x11 on paper, and the Hulk painting is 18"x24" on a canvas panel

Thanks for posting. You shouldn't leave the Crack out of this whether you get responses or not. They still speak for themselves and they do make nice contributions. Thanks. As for the pieces, not sure you need me to rehash what I said on Facebook here. I'll go on record and say I like the Galactus piece better but I have my beefs with it. The Hulk and Thing is a nice passable piece of work but I personally think you can do better. I do like a lot of things about it though and I don't feel it really rates any serious knocks. I just feel like it could have been even better than it is. In any event, they're both nice pieces and I'd post them myself if I had done them.

Thanks. Sadly you cannot see just how crisp the Hulk piece is. This picture is the best I have been able to get of it though. Its stopping traffic at the mall though thats for sure.
