I know. It just sucks to be associated with a guy like that. I didn't know he was like that. I know better now. I hope everything worked out in your favor Joey. I know you said the wall books didn't move like you wanted. Those $1 books were kicking ass though. There was a lot of decent stuff to be had in there. The guy from Fandata was selling a copy of Comicbase Express for $30. he offered it to me for $25. I kinda wish I grabbed it too. I have been looking for a comprehensive program to log my collection. At $25 it would have been half price. www.comicbase.com/mycb/Products/Express.aspx

But somebody made some vulgar comments to his daughter who was helping Joey run the booth. When I was walking into the building I had my "Comic Kings" t-shirt on. They said they just seen Joey "looking to kick someone's ass" Needless to say that person instantly disappeared.

The show was pretty good I guess. I think I was expecting more, but in this economy I am always hoping the spending will be better. It was mainly a $1 book show. I sold almost 4 long boxes worth. I was surprised I had very little action on my board books, and Silver & Bronze age books. I had a couple sales of $100 & over (Thanks Gowaltrip for being one of them!I think he looked at every book I had!! I felt bad for his wife,I know she went through the room a couple times over while Tommy kept diggin' through my stuff). Aside from the jackasss weirdo, the show was worth it.I don't think the attendance was as good as it has been before, but it was a beautiful day in Richmond that day. Here are some pictures my daughter took..... Here's Wayne Ehrman, from Zeno's books in Cheasapeake,Va....One of the nicest dealers in the business! The man has handled some of the most important original art pages from the Silver Age on up! I forget this guys name, but he has been doing shows ever since I can remember me doing shows in the early '90's. Sorry about the watermark right over top of this guy. I don't know who he is,but he had some nice stuff & a clean set up! My son working my table! This is part of the display from a guy named Marc Nathan. He's the guy that runs the Baltimore Comic Con. Darn watermark again, sorry. This is Shelton Drums' set-up (not him in the pic). He runs the Charlotte,North Carolina "Heroes Con". Here's the guy from Fandata and his table.... This guy was from the Richmond area, and he cut up old comics and covered stuff with the art. It was pretty cool, and refreshing to see something different at a con! Here's artist,Louis Small Jr... Here's Josh (AzbatX),flippin' through my books.

Some good pics Joey. That guy with no hair in the background of the pic of me..who is he? I know I have seen him somewhere. I wish Zeno could bring more books. I know cards are his thing though. You think he makes a lot from them at the show? $1 each. When I went back to buy one they were all gone. I was surprised by what Alan was buying. That was a bunch of junk. Also amazed that he had the Star Wars Tales #9 and the V for Vendetta books in his 50 cent boxes. But hey, it worked for me. The guy from Thors Comics brought a bunch of $5 and $10 books. The thing was a lot of them were in both sections. I know I seen the same issues of Sandman in both sections as well as X-Men. I did manage a copy of Wildcats #1 Gold from him in his $5 section. he did bring about 8 boxes of 50 cent books as well. I usually find something decent there. It looks like the guy from Fandata is starting to learn about his books. I remember he was the one to hit early to get all the good stuff for a $1. Not anymore. I'll never forget when he had Punisher Kills The Marvel Universe 1st print and Predator VS Magnus TPB for $1 each among other great things. Joey got a Wolverine #10 from him one time and other stuff as well. I WAS GLAD THAT THE COP WASN'T THERE WITH HIS CRAPPY BOOKS! His stuff has no order and it is some of the lowest grade crap in the world. He takes up a lot of table space that could go to another dealer with something half way decent. There was a guy close to Joey's booth with books he had marked of 20%. 20% ? What is that? How did he come up with 20% off? It boggled my mind. And he says he has "hot books". last I checked Bloodpool from image was not hot. Nor worth 20% off $3. Sorry buddy!

Thanks for the pics and the recap of the show, guys. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Wish I was a little closer, I'd come check you out. Some of the dealers look familiar, I'm betting quite a few of them do the Philly shows.
