It was suggested that I start an area where users can show off their abilities. Once it was recommended, I thought it was a good idea. Anybody have any thoughts of sharing your abilities with others, feel free to show them off here. Let's not feel like it's not good enough. The idea is to showcase and get constructive criticism both positive and negative as others see it. No one should just put it down and make a joke out of it. I won't tolerate that. But to point out what is wrong with something or joke in a good will way, that's fine. I encourage anyone who has a hidden talent to post you stuff in this area. If people want to post small scripts here and have someone try and make a comic out of it, post it! You never know where things can lead until you put it out there. Comic Crack is about any and everything related to comics, including it's fans that like to practice the craft. I'm looking forward to seeing what this area brings as the years go by. -gowaltrip

One of the earliest things I ever drew. I think I read some art books on perspective after I drew this. It's intended to be in a cartoon style. www.drunkduck.com/Dr_Jocks_Tales_of_Misery/index.php?p=130351There was a guy who worked for the band "The Impotent Sea Snakes". He read this story at the LCS after I drew it and he laughed his ass off. I used to get all sorts of positive comments despite my inability to draw worth a damn. df1

I've read this story before. What a horrible kid. Reminds me of Damien, the Omen. Little shit is taking shits ruining lives. I think the more I see your art, the more I see potential in it. I like the picture you did with the cars and I also like the couch picture below a window with a pocket book on it. I like the snaps you drew on the pocket book. In all, I think it's always come down to if you can't draw perfect, which join the club there, can you at least get your art to tell the story? You definitely get it to do that and your art shows potential. I think if you kept at it, it would consistently get better. It kinda reminds me of how I used to draw. You always have the right ideas when I see your work. It just needs practice.

You always have the right ideas when I see your work. It just needs practice. Well, it's supposed to be the diaper bag. This story was actually inspired by my nephew who is now an adult. My sister ran out of diapers once while out with the kid. He decided to let go at just that moment. She had to ask a complete stranger if she could please have a diaper. Looking back at that, I like the word balloon being outside the window. Never have seen anyone do that, and it creates more of an isolated feeling around the diaper bag. And of course the line "my butt runeth over" consistently gets a response from readers... as intended. This story was actually intended to go with several other stores... a collection. I have a couple of other stories drawn somewhere, but I don't think they are scanned into the computer. The hand collated copy of this was created as a sampler. I changed the dates on the web version and tweaked a few things. defiant1

Yeah, you're kinda off the wall in this book, that is for sure. I know you have done a few strips and Ive seen a few of them. I think I actually like a few of those other strips even better, but all of them seem to have that wacky DF1 comedy.

I think I actually like a few of those other strips even better, but all of them seem to have that wacky DF1 comedy. It hasn't been published in 9 years but one mention of my cartoon at work will start group conversations about it with people who have seen it telling people who haven't seen it what it's all about. Just a synopsis of the characters, names, etc will have people laughing for 10-15 minutes. I was telling the girl I date about an unpublished plot where the villain tries to impress a girl by ripping a fart and the hero steps up to defend her honor. It is the initial verbal conflict that keeps villain hating the hero. She was laughing her ass off... not literally... she still has an ass. df1

When I was trying to draw that last comic, I was wrestling what I wanted the character to look like. I came up with this rendition and decided to draw it fighting my old hero Stingray. In the end, I end up hating this character. I always thought I was drawing a Hulk clone or a Hulk wannabee and I just couldn't do it in any kind of way that I liked. I tried separating myself from that by drawing him this way, but in the end I always thought he ended up looking stupid. I don't mind this picture though. The only thing I like is the 2 characters in the foreground. I think I totally hosed up the background and the people standing around. This is where not having good tools and a drawing desk hurt me. It was around Xmas and I was asking my wife for an art desk. It didn't happen. So when it came time to draw the background, I just hosed it up. Drawing buildings and people as bystanders was never a strong point for me. I also dont care for the character's left arm (the one on the right as you see it). I fucked that up. The rest, I don't mind much.

this is very cool dude. Great addition. I think the reason I missed it before was because The little tab on the left said OLD. It says NEW now, but..Do those tabs have anyway of changing colors to let you know when a new post has been added in? I ask because that is how we have it on fcmaps and it looks like your site foundation may be the same type of coding. I dig that pic gowaltrip.Yeah the two characters look like They are 30' tall but its a good piece. D1 I liked your strip. That thing was cracking me up and getting me to think of evil things to do to that child. Here is a sketch from me. Again, not that good. But I just sort of whip these things out. I am going to do a special picture in honor of this new area though.

I am going to do a special picture in honor of this new area though. The skin I used before this one would light up when there was a new post, but this one doesn't do it. It just says new or old. I like this skin better, but that is one of the drawbacks. One link I always use is the "Last 50 posts" link down at the bottom of the page. In fact, if I go to any board regularly, I'm usually clicking on that one first because it kind of keeps me up to date with what has been happening lately. This picture you've done is one of my favorites so far. I don't really see anything wrong with it. I'm not always sure I like the new Cap mask style. It looks great in some pictures and kinda lame in others. It looks fine here, I'm just saying. You didn't design this. It just depends on how it's used. But I like your version of it. This picture is nice BigW.
